GIVE THE ENVIRONMENT AIR TO BREATHE.

The air to breathe is our business. That's why our philosophy is fundamentally sustainable.

Providing technically innovative ventilation products is also a commitment. A commitment to protect life, the environment, and future generations. A commitment we are happy to make. It is the only way to give credibility to our company culture. By using the existing resources fairly and responsibly.

In order to keep the ecological footprint of our products and our company as small as possible, we pay attention to every single detail and to crucial intersections. Design and material selection, the supply chain, packaging, transport ways, the selection of our partners and the energy efficiency of both the production and the office area play an important role.

simply. long-living.

At SALVIA, we believe in the revolutionary power of simplicity. That's why our products are technologically top class, but also have to stand their ground in real life by offering easy and self-explanatory operation. Plain and simple.

That's also how we discuss the subject of sustainability. The more durable a product, the better its ecological balance sheet. Plain and simple.

Right from the start of the design and production process, we pay attention that the material and components used have a long service life. Plain and simple.

When the devices have reached the end of their product cycle, they are recycled in a resource-saving manner. SEE? Plain and simple.

Naturally nearby.

More than 80 % of our suppliers are located in our regional area.
When transport and communication ways are short, this will benefit the environment. And the German economy.

And of course we talk to our suppliers. About our idea of GreenTech in the Taunus.
This idea as a whole can only be successful if everyone participates and follows ecologically clean rules and processes.
Here we expect openness and fairness. And a strong commitment to sustainability.

SOONER RATHER THAN LATER.

We are better than required by law. We already apply guidelines on materials and substances that are still being discussed by the EU. Because sometimes faster isn't only better for the environment, but also for the economy. Ecologically produced products can stay in use longer and can be easily retrofitted to improve energy efficiency, for example by integrating LED backlighting in the display of older devices.

SALVIA medical complies with the statutory, regulatory, and standard specifications of the applicable ordinances on banned and restricted substances. For example, SALVIA observes the specifications of the EU RoHS directive (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) that restricts the use of selected contaminants such as lead, mercury, and cadmium.

The REACH regulation (EC 1907/2006, "Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals“) requests that information on SVHC substances (Substances of Very High Concern) is identified on a so-called candidate list and passed on along the supply chain. If a product contains more than 0.1 % of these substances, the manufacturer of this product must inform the customer about it. SALVIA medical meets these obligations.

The specifications of a future EU directive / EU guideline concerning conflict minerals are also already being implemented by SALVIA medical.
According to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, SALVIA medical does not use any substances harmful to the ozone layer for the production of its components and product packaging.
