Ventilation during bronchoscopy
Rigid bronchoscopy
Rigid bronchoscopy under general anesthesia is considered a standard diagnostic and therapeutic procedure. Given the lack of suitable alternatives, such procedures used to rely on jet ventilation devices, which frequently do not meet the requirements of the examiner and can lead to potential complications. With the hypnos manual ventilation module, ventilation during rigid bronchoscopy can be performed with the usual anesthesia techniques. The dual measuring and control technology allows for ventilation in spite of the leakage caused by the insertion of the rigid tube. Ventilation can be flexibly adjusted to the current requirements at the interface between the examiner and the anesthesiologist.
