High-flow CPAP rounds off the therapeutic spectrum of CPAP respiratory therapy

High-flow CPAP, a CPAP mode with a high inspiratory flow of over 40 liters per minute, reduces the risk of pressure inconsistencies under mask CPAP. It is also considered the origin of the so-called "humidified nasal CPAP" therapy with relatively high PEEP values.

Application areas of high-flow CPAP:

  • Intensive care units
  • IMC
  • General care units
  • Emergency room
